“realìty čhėçk”

Pain 6/10

Location: Queenstown, New Zealand

Pain Diary Entry: 21 September 2022

This photo in a way sums up how I live my life. The image for me is stunning and brings back very satisfying memories, but it’s the how I took it that amuses me. I got a ‘real camera’ in May this year and almost all my photos are taken with it. I’m learning loads and it has definitely got me excited to learn more and take more incredible shots, but sometimes you only have a smartphone on you when the light is perfect. And you know it will only be like this for later of seconds before the sun dips, as you’ve watched for 5 nights in a row, so a quick move to try and get some composition in the pic to work and then this happened. Mountains seem to be my happy place btw.
I chased a marvellous woman (who is still a good friend) to Germany 14 years ago this month, and since then my life has been incredible with many ups and downs but a hell of a life, and I lived hard before. I’ve experienced more than I could ever have expected and am transitioning again in a new direction. I am always open to change and new things, I have to adapt as my body deteriorates, so I adapt. I have amazing support and incredible people in my life. I never want to stop living, even when my body rages with so much pain that just existing is hard. But the alternative doesn’t suit me. I only have this one time to try. Time… that devil is a conundrum.
